  1. Fireworkz demo disc readme file

  4. To use this demonstration copy of Fireworkz you
  5. will need 2MB of memory. Both this and the real
  6. version of Fireworkz will run more easily if you have 
  7. RISC OS 3. If you have RISC OS 2 please read the 
  8. notes below.

  10. RISC OS 2 users

  13. Due to lack of space we were unable to provide
  14. a !System on this disk. To start Fireworkz you will 
  15. need to provide:

  17.        SharedCLibrary 3.75
  18.        FPEmulator     2.70
  19.        ColourTrans    0.52
  20.        FontManager    2.44
  21.        Printer driver 2.44
  22.                           
  23. To start Fireworkz, double-click on !Fireworkz;
  24. Demotext is a text-based tutorial you may find
  25. helpful: to load this, double-click on Demotext
  26. once you have Fireworkz loaded.

  28. About the demo version
  29. ======================

  31. The demo version is different from the real version 
  32. of Fireworkz: it does not save files, will not print 
  33. and the spelling checker is disabled.
  34.  
  35. Real Fireworkz also has our dynamic linking system which
  36. loads objects when required: so it starts up in 
  37. rather less memory than the demo version; about 
  38. 900k in fact, leaving you more space for documents. 
  39.  
  40. Things being what they are, the demo version 
  41. usually lags behind the main version in version number 
  42. and features: if you have a specific query about 
  43. something it's as well to check with us first since 
  44. we may well have improved or altered the real version.
  45.  
  46. We are rather short of disc space on this demo, so it
  47. contains fewer example files than our demo discs usually do.
